Bottom Dump Trailers
Bottom dump trailers or belly dump trailers haul loose material, but the product is unloaded from a gate at the bottom of the trailers. By unloading at the bottom of the trailer, the driver is able to spread the load out over a large area. The low dumping point also makes the trailer very safe, and it is very rare to tip over a bottom dump. Most bottom dumps or belly dump trailers are made of steel, and bottom dumps are generally 24’ to 45’ long and 96” to 102” wide.
Bottom dump trailers are used extensively with construction. The ability to scatter material over a wide area is especially effective for large building lots. Great Western Leasing also offers end dump trailers and side dump trailers
